Zen Cart is a popular open source e-commerce application with strong and growing community. However it is virtually impossible to make community powered product like Zen cart PA-DSS compatible. X-Payments is PA-DSS certified payment application, that connects to Zen Cart store out-of-the-box and process sensitive information in a PCI-DSS compliant manner. X-Payments is installed on the same domain as Zen Cart store and customer doesn't have to leave site during checkout.

While processing credit card payments, X-Payments works as an intermediary between a Zen Cart store on the one side and payment gateways and 3D-Secure systems on the other side.
X-Payments allows Zen Cart merchants to:
- you don't risk a $50,000 fine from VISA for non-compliance
- allow their customers to pay for the orders with credit cards, using online payment gateways;
- make their online stores compliant with the PCI-DSS standard version 1.2, which strictly recommends using only PA-DSS verified payment applications for accepting and handling credit card payments. X-Payments is PA-DSS certified;
- authorize payments without actual charge upon order placing and charge later (e.g.when the order is fulfilled);
- integrate with payment gateways, not supported by X-Payments out of the box using a custom made payment integration modules (supposed to be developed separately);
- change design and URL of the payment information entering form to go with the design and URL of the online store.
X-Payments integrates with Zen Cart v1.3.9 and newer versions and can be integrated with any e-commerce software via its application programming interface.
